About Ben

I am a New York City based Entreupreneur and Artist. I am the Co-Founder of the Recently Launched Music Start-Up Dubset.com.

With a background in finance, management, direct marketing, and technology, Ben Katz wears the hat of Chief Operating Officer well. Prior to joining DUBSET, Ben spent several years honing his business skills at the National Basketball Association where he strategically planned and oversaw development of sponsored content platforms across the NBA digital network.During his time at the NBA ben worked on numeruous web 2.0 initiatives.

During this time Ben kept up with the music world by reading DJ blogs, downloading mix sets, and thinking about ways to more easily access DJ creations. He quickly decided that music won out over sports and joined DUBSET to help bring DJ art to the masses.

Administered a variety of rich media applications such as Liveworld social network, Clearspring widgets, Eyespot digital video mixer, YouTube channel, Second life, WAP sites, mobile alerts, RSS, and digital video.

As COO, Ben is responsible for many of the core business functions, but his primary focus is on the technology behind DUBSET.
